This mix features moist soil loving plants. Most require some months of cold temperatures in order to germinate. Patience is key. Expect 2 to 3 years for optimum establishment
You may sow your seed in spring or fall. Do not attempt to sow seed in the summer as it is more likely to die of heat and desiccation in our summer weather.
Your packet contains the larger seed and a packet of smaller seed. This smaller seed needs some light to germinate so must be near the soil surface. We recommend you sow the larger seed first, work it into the soil and press it down, then sow the contents of the smaller packet and press it into the soil for good soil contact.
This mix contains 120 seeds per square foot for quicker, thicker establishment. The recommended seeding rate is no less than 40 seeds per square foot for drilling and no less than 80 seeds per square foot if broadcasting.
